The practice evolved from the design office of Sir Basil Spence in Islington. It reformed in 1993 as Blee Ettwein Bridges and in 1997 the current partnership was established
We have retained our links with Islington and occupy part of a Listed Georgian house, which we have converted to provide our design studios. The architectural practice is relatively compact.

From project inception, we contribute to development strategy through our detailed experience and understanding of how best to negotiate with planning authorities. This can lead to considerable savings in time and cost at the initial stages of a project.
We also research the history of sites, buildings and their construction, undertake interior as well as architectural design.
We co-ordinate all other aspects of construction, commissioning other professionals where necessary.
The diverse talents and considerable experience of the principals is crucial to our work. Each is involved full time in consultancy and design.
