1, 2, 3. Fairfield Hospital (former Three Counties Asylum) In March 2002 our designs in seven planning and listed building applications were permitted for the repairs and conversion of the Grade II listed Fairfield Hospital near Stotfold, formerly the Three Counties Asylum (1856-78), in Bedfordshire. This extremely large listed building (22,000 m?), including a church and Isolation Hospital, required enabling development to fund the works. Works have commenced by a different client.
4. Highwood Hospital This was purpose-built to cure ophthalmia, opening in 1904. We appraised and recorded the site for the NHS PC Trust and Essex County Council.

5. Brentwood Community Hospital, Brentwood The local NHS Trust has been examining the best ways of using its existing premises as part of the national plans for investing in the Health Service. We are preparing a detailed medico-architectural and historical appraisal to guide appropriate master plans and planning applications to the satisfaction of the County Council's conservation officers and the local planning authority.
6. St. Michael's Hospital, Lichfield We provided for the local NHS Trust an assessment of the development of the hospital from its origins as a workhouse infirmary.
